SNC-Lavalin has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Transportadora de Gas Internacional S.A. E.S.P. (TGI), for a greenfield compression plant in Cajica, Cundinamarca, Colombia. A subsidiary of Grupo Energía de Bogotá, TGI is the country’s largest natural gas transportation company with nearly 4,000 kilometres of pipelines. The project will allow TGI to meet peak demand for natural gas in Colombia by adding a compressor station to the company’s La Sabana gas pipeline.
The work will be carried out from SNC-Lavalin’s offices in Colombia with completion scheduled for 2015. With over 5,000 staff in South America and nearly 2,000 in Colombia, SNC-Lavalin is one of the largest engineering and construction suppliers in Colombia, providing services for oil & gas, mining and infrastructure.
