Behlen to open office in Russia

Behlen Industries LP, Canada’s largest manufacturer of steel building systems, announced that it will be opening an office in Moscow to support strong sales growth. The Manitoba-based steel building manufacturer has experienced significant growth in Russia, including winning a contract to construct the world’s largest frameless steel building in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia which will house an international-sized soccer field.

Paul Cunningham, president and CEO of WGI Westman Group Inc. states, “WGI is a steel manufacturing leader in North America with its four divisions, Canada Culvert, Meridian Manufacturing, Westman Steel and Behlen Industries. This is our first office outside of North America and as a group of companies we’re very excited to take this step forward in our international growth.”

Behlen Industries vice-president and general manager Sean Lepper states, “We’ve experienced tremendous growth and success in Russia over the last several years, and our new office will help us maintain the strong relationships we’ve begun while demonstrating that we intend to stay in the country for the long term.”
