The last of Toronto’s downtown railway lands is finally going to see development after years of speculation. ZAS Architects recently announced their selection as the architect for Block 31, the empty parcel of land overripe for development at the corner of Fort York Blvd. and Brunel Court in CityPlace.
After a competitive process, the City of Toronto chose ZAS to execute the design and building of a $60-million city community centre, child care facility and two elementary schools to serve the needs of a community of 20,000 that continues to grow.
With over 50 public and education facility projects combined under their belt and a knack for developing successful projects on complex sites, ZAS will bring their extensive expertise to the project to build what will become the heart of this dense high-rise residential community.
