Structal-Bridges secures a $30-million contract for the construction of a bridge over Highway 25

Structal-Bridges, the largest steel bridge manufacturer in Canada and a division of Canam Group Inc., has secured a $30-million contract from design-builder Kiewit-Parsons for the construction of a six-lane steel bridge over the
Rivire des Prairies as well as three overpasses for the purpose of completing Highway 25 in Montreal.

The bridge will consist of a main cable-stayed span approximately 1,640 feet long and steel plate girder approach spans approximately 2,230 feet long. Each of the major components will be 12 feet deep by 130 feet long and weigh 80 tons. Fabrication will take place at the Quebec City plant.
