Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners has appointed Duff Balmer to Partner and Jan-Willem Gritters to Associate.
Balmer, a graduate of McGill University and an Associate Architect with STI+P since 2000, has been with the firm for 14 years. In that time, he has designed several award-winning recreation and library projects, including the Angus Glen Community Centre and Library and the Recreation, Athletics and Wellness Centre at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga Campus. Balmer becomes the 13th Parther at STI+P since the firm was established in 1945.
A graduate of the Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands), Gritters has worked in Europe and the U.S. and came on board with STI+P in 1999. Throughout his tenure, Gritters has established himself as an extremely qualified Project Architect who has succesfully managed many of STI+P’s recent lab, research and pharmacentral projects. To his credit, Gritters’ work has provided the firm with a long list of repeat clients, including TEVA / Novopharm, Trent University and the University of Western Ontario.
