Kasian has been listed as the only Canadian firm on Interior Design magazine’s annual list of the Top 100 Interior Design Giants. The architecture and interior design firm was listed as #88 for 2007 by the New York-based publication. All of the other firms on the list are based in the United States.
“This listing is an indication that our firm’s solid presence on the global market is starting to be recognized,” said Don Kasian, President of Kasian. “Our interior design studio has set itself apart as a leader through dedication, design excellence, and a collaborative mandate.”
Interior Design magazine defines the giants as “the firms that generate the revenues that give design cause to call itself an industry.” The listing is based on revenue comparisons but it also notes the project value and square footage of the total work installed as well as the number of interior design staff in the firm and the firm’s previous years ranking. Interior Design magazine has run their annual listing of design giants for the past 30 years.
Kasian’s Interior Design Studio placed 88 on the list with a 2007 reporting of $8.3 million USD in interior design fees, $41 million USD in completed project value, 8.2 million square feet of work completed, and 60 interior design staff. Kasian was listed at 101 last year. Some of Kasian’s key interior design projects include the Calgary Courts Centre in Calgary, Alberta, BCIT Aerospace Campus in Richmond, British Columbia, TELUS (national account), and various corporate office spaces across the country.
