Gord Cooke, president of Building Knowledge Canada, has launched a new seminar and workshop-based training series called “The Cooke Report” that will assist those in the construction industry with designing, building, renovating and selling more efficient, comfortable, healthier and more durable homes. Sponsored by Venmar Ventilation and Broan-NuTone Canada, the series is designed specifically to better inform builders of new opportunities for cost effective approaches in creating energy efficient and high performance homes.
The first series of workshops will tour across Canada until November 2009, offering the following four training programs:
· Comprehensive building science training
· Marketing and selling the better built home
· Moisture and rain management
· Do you want that in green?
Cooke has also launched a new website as an additional resource for anyone in the building industry interested in expanding their knowledge base. The new site, www.gordcooke.com, offers information about seminars and workshops and articles about current building trends.
