Golder Associates announces new global president

Golder Associates’ Global Board of Directors has appointed Brian H. Conlin P.Eng, as President and Chief Executive Officer of the global firm; Golder Associates Corp. Conlin will officially complete his transition into this new role at Golder Associates’ next Global Board of Directors meeting in June, 2009. As Global President, Mr. Conlin will spearhead the firm’s sustainability and diversification strategies with support from the Global Management Team and Board of Directors.

A 28 year veteran of the firm, Mr. Conlin joined Golder Associates’ Mississauga office as a Project Geological Engineer in 1977. His strong connection with engineering and the consulting business led him across Canada, contributing to both engineering projects and corporate management as the Burnaby Office Manager by 1992. Prior to accepting the role of President at the global level, Conlin served as Regional President of the firm’s founding operating company, Golder Associates Ltd. in Canada.


A native of Metcalfe, Ontario, Mr. Conlin achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Carleton University, a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Queen’s University, and a Master’s in Civil Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Toronto. Spending the majority of his career on Canada’s west coast, Conlin built a wealth of experience locally and internationally in mining, oil and gas, land development, and infrastructure projects. With his knowledge of the consulting business and commitment to excellence, Mr. Conlin is poised to lead the global firm to continued success.
