First ecoENERGY retrofit projects completed and receiving final payments

The first 20 retrofit projects under the commercial and institutional component of ecoENERGY Retrofit – Small and Medium Organizations are now complete, and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is issuing the final payments. The recipients represent a mixture of building types across the country, including Azuria Group in Toronto (Ont.), Cain Insurance in Fredericton (N.B.), Canadian Tire in Port Perry (Ont.), Canadian Tire in Tillsonburg (Ont.), Cégep de Chicoutimi (Que.), Fast Track Community Centre in Burlington (Ont.), Giovanni Caboto Club in Windsor (Ont.), Island Petroleum in Charlottetown (P.E.I.), Russell Metal in Lakeside (N.S.), The Salvation Army Saskatoon Temple (Sask.), Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance, University of Western Ontario et York Pines Pastoral Charge in Kettleby (Ont.). If you own, manage or lease commercial and institutional buildings up to 20 000 square metres, you can still benefit from the ecoENERGY Retrofit incentive. Average approval times are now six to eight weeks after you submit a properly completed application form.
