CCA elects 2009 Chair of the Board of Directors

Brad Greene, P. Eng., GSC, of Project Management Services Inc. in St. John’s, is the new Chair of the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) Board of Directors. Only the second CCA Chair to hail from the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador, he was sworn in during CCA’s Annual General Meeting. Mr. Greene takes over the helm from Paul Charette.

Mr. Greene is also President of Building Solutions Company, providing skilled labour and General Contracting services in Newfoundland. He is a Past Chair and current member of the CCA General Contractors Council, a Past Chair of the CCA Gold Seal Committee, a member of the CCA Task Force on Mould in Construction, and a member of the CCA Standard Practices Committee.

Over the course of his career, Brad has served on various committees and councils in his community, including the Board of the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, the Joint Advisory Council of the Newfoundland Bid Depository, the Construction Labour Relations Association of Newfoundland & Labrador and the Newfoundland & Labrador Carpenters Training Trust.

During his term, Mr. Greene wishes to focus on the need for Continuing Professional Development for Construction Managers and the expansion of Canada’s training infrastructure to better meet construction labour force challenges. Like many past Board Chairs before him, he eagerly welcomes the opportunity to travel across Canada to meet with as many industry peers as possible in an effort to hear directly from CCA members regarding the issues affecting them.
