rePlan and planningAlliance are pleased to announce that one of their most innovative projects, the Thompson Economic Diversification Working Group (TEDWG) Process, has received the Canadian Institute of Planners 2014 Award for Planning Excellence in the New and Emerging Planning Initiatives category. The Awards Ceremony took place yesterday at the CIP’s conference in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
rePlan and planningAlliance facilitated the community engagement and technical planning component of the TEDWG Process, along with Nichols Applied Management, Associated Engineering and On Three Communication Design. The TEDWG Process has emerged as a best practice in both procedural and technical capacity building to ensure local stakeholders can fully engage in planning for the long-term sustainability of their community.
TEDWG was established in May 2011 to identify strategic priorities in areas such as housing, education and training, economic development, regional planning and municipal governance for the Thompson Region in Northern Manitoba.
