Defence Construction Canada has contracted Saskatoon-based 3twenty Solutions to design, build, and install a 180-person accommodation complex at their Cold Lake, Alta. 4-Wing Base. This is the busiest fighter base in Canada and the accommodation complex will be used to meet the increasing housing requirements of the operation. It is scheduled to open March 29th, 2013.

“Given the requirement to turn over the keys for 180 beds in less than 59 days, we had to come up with a creative plan that would be quick to build,” explains 3twenty’s Chief Operating Officer, Evan Willoughby. The project is a three-storey complex that will use modular container-style components similar to the accommodations and offices products the company has been building for the mining and oil & gas sectors.
